Dental Assistant Salary Range: $44,010–$52,314/year ________________________________________ Requirements to apply • High school diploma or GED • Completion of an accredited Dental Assisting program • California Radiation Safety Certificate • 8-hour Infection Control course per CA Dental Board guidelines • Current CPR/First Aid certifications • Coronal Polish Certificate (required by January 1, 2025) • Proficiency with digital radiography, EHR, Microsoft Word/Excel, email, and online forms • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred ________________________________________ Full-time Dental Assistant at a mission-driven Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Los Angeles, supporting comprehensive, barrier-free oral healthcare for underserved communities. ________________________________________ Job Overview Support dentists with four-handed chairside assisting and patient-centered care. Prepare operatories and equipment, take digital radiographs and intraoral photos, maintain strict infection control, and manage inventory and sterilization. Perform delegated procedures within scope (e.g., alginate impressions; coronal polishing with certificate). Assist with front-office tasks as needed—scheduling, insurance verification, check-in/out, co-pays—and help guide patients through care.
