Manufacturing Process Technician
Graham Manufacturing is seeking a skilled and detail‑oriented Manufacturing Process Technician to support and optimize production operations. This role focuses on developing, documenting, and improving process operation sequences across welding, machining, and assembly areas to ensure efficient, high‑quality manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience with industrial fabrication techniques and a strong understanding of manufacturing workflows.

Job Summary
Co‑ordinate resources, develop process sequencing, provide technical support, collaborate cross‑functionally, schedule resources, manage output, create documentation, drive continuous improvement, maintain equipment and support professional development.
Key Responsibilities
Effectively and concisely coordinate with engineering and manufacturing.
Develop and maintain detailed process operation sequences for manufacturing tasks.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure logical, efficient workflows.
Identify and recommend improvements to streamline operations.
Assist in troubleshooting process‑related issues on the shop floor.
Support the introduction of new products and processes into production.
Work closely with design engineers, weld engineers, quality assurance, supply chain, and production supervisors.
Participate in root‑cause analysis and corrective action plans as required.
Create optimal process sequences based on design and manufacturing capabilities.
Create routings for commercial major jobs and then expand into other jobs as workload permits.
Complete routings in the ERP system.
Create and update process maps, routings, and dependency diagrams.
Ensure compliance with quality standards throughout all operations.
Evaluate efficiency and effectiveness of engineering and manufacturing as it pertains to design for manufacturability and process sequencing, and provide suggestions for improvement.
Objectively evaluate improvement suggestions from team members, using feedback to improve processes when prudent.
Document processes within the function to ensure consistency in execution.
Demonstrate initiative and respect for team members.
Follow up with supervisor on professional development goals and opportunities.
Qualifications
High School Diploma required.
Associate’s Degree in Engineering or related science field preferred.
3+ years of manufacturing technician or related process planning experience in an engineer‑to‑order environment.
5+ years of fabrication experience (welding preferred) in lieu of manufacturing process technician planning experience.
Experience reading technical drawings and engineering product structures (bill of materials).
Ability to work independently with minimal direction and as part of a team.
Strong organization, time‑management, and multi‑tasking skills.
Ability to operate cross‑functionally within the organization and drive product/process improvements.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in MS Office, including spreadsheets, Word, and Visio.
Willingness to abide by company policy and demonstrate behavior consistent with company values.
Physical & Mental Demands
Office environment; occasional shop‑floor presence required. Must speak and communicate clearly with others.
Read, write, analyze data and reports; exercise judgment, develop plans, procedures, and goals; present information; work under pressure.
Capable of visiting shop floor to review manufacturing operations; use standard office equipment; comply with PPE requirements in fabrication areas.
Work Authorization
Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship. Ability to obtain U.S. government security clearance is desired.
