This opportunity offers work in a state-of-the-art 12-bed ICU designed to support patients with traumatic brain injury, aneurysm, status epilepticus, stroke, and other critical neurologic conditions. The role requires delivering comprehensive care and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Qualifications and Desired Experience: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in New York State Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in ICU acute care nursing Proven ability in critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills with commitment to staying current in critical care knowledge Required telemetry experience to monitor patient vital signs and respond effectively to changes BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association are mandatory Location:Based in Pittsford, NY, this role is situated in a welcoming suburban community known for its excellent quality of life, convenient access to cultural and recreational activities, and proximity to major urban centers. Responsibilities: Provide specialized nursing care to critically ill neurological patients in a 12-bed medical/surgical ICU Monitor and assess patient status utilizing telemetry technology Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans Maintain accurate patient documentation and communicate effectively with families regarding patient condition Adhere to established clinical protocols and safety standards Job Type: Contract position offering a focused timeframe for professional growth and clinical impact This role provides the chance to contribute critical expertise in a highly specialized neurocritical care unit.
