This opportunity calls for experienced Registered Nurses with ICU expertise to provide critical care at a well-equipped medical center in Lone Tree, CO. The unit offers a dynamic environment with a 30-bed ICU staffed by a dedicated team of 57 professionals, serving patients with neuro and trauma needs. This contract role provides a schedule from 7 AM to 7 PM, offering stability while encountering a variety of critical care situations. Responsibilities: Deliver high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients, maintaining a 1:2 patient ratio with possible overflow adjustments. Perform specialized procedures such as rapid intubation, chest tube placement, and management of external ventricular drains (EVD). Operate advanced equipment including Lenet beds and GE monitors. Adhere to unit policies and adapt to changing patient acuity, including flexibility in assignments during shifts. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams within a fast-paced ICU setting using Meditech electronic medical records. Qualifications: Current RN licensure with ICU experience essential. Neuro and trauma nursing skills are required; candidates lacking these will not be considered. Neuro certification is preferred and will enhance candidacy. Ability to remain flexible and responsive to fluctuating patient needs.
