An opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse with PACU experience to provide care in a fast-paced post-anesthesia setting. This contract position requires a skilled professional who is adept at managing patient recovery following anesthesia, ensuring safety, comfort, and prompt recognition of potential complications. Location This role is based in Lowell, MA, a vibrant city known for its rich industrial history and diverse communities. Lowell offers a blend of urban amenities and green spaces, providing an engaging environment for both work and leisure. Key Responsibilities Monitor post-anesthesia patients for adverse reactions and complications Manage pain control and stabilize vital signs during recovery Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care Document patient progress accurately and communicate effectively with healthcare providers Educate patients and families on post-procedure care as needed Qualifications Minimum 3 years of experience as a Registered Nurse At least 1 year of travel PACU experience At least 1 year working in an academic medical center environment Strong clinical skills to manage diverse patient needs in a PACU setting Schedule 36 hours per week 50% day/night rotation Up to 2 weekend shifts per month This position offers a contract assignment with the chance to work in a reputable academic medical center, providing both professional growth and new challenges.
