Key Responsibilities: Deliver skilled nursing care to patients in a 23-bed step-down and 16-bed medical-surgical unit Manage patient care involving tracheostomies, chest tubes, cardiac drips, and ventilator support for stable patients Perform wound dressing changes and other nursing procedures as required Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes Utilize EMR systems, specifically Cerner, to document care and communicate effectively Adhere to unit protocols and safety guidelines, maintaining compliance with clinical standards Qualifications and Desired Experience: Minimum of 2 years nursing experience, demonstrating proficiency with tracheostomy care Certified in ACLS and BLS Previous experience with Cerner electronic medical records preferred Flexibility to float within other med-surg and progressive care units Ability to work effectively within a team-oriented and fast-paced environment High level of clinical competence and adaptability Schedule: Commitment includes approximately 6 weekend shifts over a 6-week period, with details for on-call availability as specified by the unit Location Insight:Situated near Asheville, Candler offers a serene yet vibrant community nestled in the scenic landscapes of western North Carolina.
