This role focuses on patient recovery immediately following surgery, ensuring safety and comfort through skilled assessment and intervention. The assignment spans a 13-week contract, offering the chance to contribute your acute care expertise within a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Deliver comprehensive pre- and post-operative nursing care in the PACU. Conduct detailed nursing assessments with minimal orientation and supervision. Collaborate closely with care teams to monitor patients vital signs and recovery progress. Utilize strong communication skills to support patient and family education. Adhere strictly to hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control protocols. Document patient data accurately, with experience in EPIC Electronic Medical Records preferred. Qualifications and Experience: Current New York State RN registration. Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS), with recertification capability. Minimum 2 years recent acute care experience in a facility comparable in size and trauma level. Prior inpatient PACU and critical care nursing expertise required. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Clear professional recordno suspensions, investigations, or professional liability claims. Legal authorization to work in the U.S. Successful completion of pre-employment health screening, drug test, and background check. Experience with large hospitals or trauma centers preferred. Schedule: 6 shifts of 12 hours over a two-week period. Hours alternate between 07:00-19:30 and 11:00-23:30. Every other weekend coverage; no on-call responsibilities.
