We are looking for a highly motivated
Senior Software Engineer
to join our
Platform UI team
to build web applications for the next generation Identity platform. This role requires a developer that can take ideas from concept to reality and work well in a fast‑paced, collaborative, cross‑functional team of product managers, software engineers, and data scientists in a global organization.
The ideal applicant will have strong development experience; analytical and creative problem‑solving skills; be passionate about research, innovation, and experimentation for delivering the best possible user experience within an inclusive and respectful environment. What You’ll Do
Develop / QA Identity & Access Management related web applications and toolingin Vue.js and React.js
Work closely with our UX and product management teams to refine features and ensure frictionless interfaces for our customers
Collaborate with several backend teams to design features and API interfaces
Design and review components for Ping's shared component library to ensure we provide a clear and consistent interface to our customers and internal consumers whilst adhering to best practices
Provide maintenance and security updates for a broad range of legacy UIs
Participate in software development life cycle activities such as design, code, test, and production releases of the Ping Platform UI
Implement, document, and evangelize best practices and industry standards for both internal and external developers
Debug production issues across services and levels of the Advanced Identity Cloud (AIC) integration with the Platform UI
Thrive in a rapidly changing environment and continuously adapt to ever‑evolving customer needs
Demonstrate strong communication skills and serve as a good example for other engineers
Identify shortcomings of current architecture and design and contribute to continuous improvement
Enhance the quality control of Ping's products through automation, E2E testing, pipelines, AI, etc.
What You Bring
6+ years of HTML and CSS, and a strong, fundamental understanding of JavaScript
6+ years of experience developing web applications
4+ years of production experience (primary) with one of the following: React.js, Angular, Vue.js, or Svelte.js
2+ years of experience with a secondary JS framework or library
Strong experience with developing accessible, compliant UI components
Experience with authentication, authorization, and identity management
Experience with CORS, SSL/TLS, and other security communication protocols
Experience with RESTful services
BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
Strong time management skills
Bonus Points If You Have
Experience with multiple application architectures (SPA, Flux, SSR, universal/isomorphic)
Experience with Redux Toolkit (RTK) and RTK Query
Experience building REST API applications in Node.js
Experience working in globally distributed teams
Proficient knowledge of Git and Git tooling
Knowledge of Agile/Scrum Methodologies
Experience with application security practices (OWASP Top 10)
Experience with large‑scale systems
Docker, Kubernetes, and VM experience
Experience with web accessibility

Salary Range: $107,000-$135,000 In accordance with Pay Transparency Act the approximate compensation range for this role in Canada is listed above. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors, such as knowledge, skills, and abilities.
