Students will gain hands on experience working with patients while learning about the patient care delivery system using an interdisciplinary team approach.

Each student is assigned to one of five inpatient programs. Students are oriented by members of the clinical team, perform work as rehabilitation aides, and work under the supervision of the team leader/supervisor. **The HELP program is a 10-week, full-time paid summer learning program for college students**.* **Qualified college level applicants have demonstrated an interest in either physical, occupational, speech therapy or recreation therapy, either through coursework, volunteer/observation experience, or paid therapy aide position.*** **Summer program for students will begin Monday June 1 and end on Friday, August 7.*** **Students accepted into the program must commit to working the entire 10 weeks.*** **Interested students must complete the online application and submit a transcript and cover letter of interest by** **2/27/26.****As part of the onboarding requirement, all offered candidates will need to complete an occupational health and drug screen at our White Plains location, undergo background screenings and be cleared for work prior to start date.**\*\*\*This is a paid summer student program\*\*\*The Burke Rehabilitation Hospital is an equal employment opportunity employer.
