TempleofAaronDirectorofOperations

The Director of Operations (DO) has a pivotal and critical role within the Temple of Aaron (ToA) Synagogue.The DO will report directly to the Board of Directors and will work collaboratively with the Rabbis aka the leadership team of Temple of Aaron. The primary role of the DO is to provide quality and tactical support to ensure that ToA is accomplishing operational, budgetary, philanthropic, and cultural objectives. Additionally, the DO must possess the requisite skills to develop lasting productive relationships with a diverse group of congregants and staff.

Qualifications and Competencies:

Manage HumanResourcesforallTempleofAaronsupportstaff including maintaining appropriate

records

and coordination of employee benefits, employee reviews,carrying out terminations for areas under his/her supervision.

Maintaining appropriate oversight of the departments vis‑à‑vis the

annual budget .Reviewing

contractual obligations with vendors/tenants

and outsidesupporttoensurethattheexpensesalignwiththeapprovedbudget.

Managementandqualityimprovementof operationalprocesses forhighest level of efficiency and effectiveness that allows for engagement of all staff.

Coordinatingandmanagingthe security forTempleofAaronanditsfacilities, aswellasworkinginconcertwithlayleadersandmembersofourcommunity.

Facilities and plant management , including oversight and coordination with thefacilitiesstaff,aswellasoverallmanagementofthephysicalinfrastructure.

FinanceDepartment –Providesoversightofallaspectsofthefinancial management of Temple of Aaron.

ManagementoftheToAcemetery includingactingasliaisonbetween members, clergy, and funeral Directors/homes.

Coordination and

management of membership processes.

Manageallelementsof congregationalcommunications including Aaronian, weekly emails, etc.

Oversight of technology

including management of our internal staff and externalcontractorsandvendorsforour digitaltechnology suchaszoom, livestream, website, database and networks.

Workin partnershipwiththeclergyrelativetodonorcultivationand stewardship

including logistics of annual fundraiser and events.

Serves as

representative of the Board to administer operations of the organization includingstaffboardcommittees(security,investment,finance, cemetery).

Requirements/Background/Education Skills:

Strongfinancialacumenandanalyticalanddata-drivenmindsetthattranslates into leadership skills

Abilitytoinspireemployees,leadbyexampleandencourageallemployeesto live up to their potential and optimize their productivity

Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to communicate with theBoardofDirectors,LeadershipandmembersoftheCongregation,inaddition to all staff

Good understanding of Jewish culture/traditions/calendar

Able to work flexible schedule including weekends and evenings

BA or BS in Business Administration or similar degree and/or advanced degrees

Experience with Shul Cloud and Quick Books preferred
