Northampton Primary Academy Trust (NPAT) is a group of schools working in collaboration as one entity

We are seeking a skilled Finance Business Partner to join the Trust’s Central Team in supporting our 14 primary schools to Achieve Extraordinary Things through secure financial management.
The new Finance Business Partner will play a crucial role in promoting and providing an effective resource and information service to staff and other stakeholders, and ensure the Trust makes efficient and effective use of financial resources.
Responsibilities Include:
Ensuring effective and efficient delivery of financial support services within the Trust, complying with relevant financial procedures, regulations, policies and systems
Working with the Financial Controller to support sound management of budgets for all schools within the Trust.
Working with the school-based teams and Headteachers ensure that the rolling monthly reforecasts are kept up to date in the Finance Management system.
Support the Finance Controller to prepare and produce other monthly reports, reconciliations and returns including but not limited to cashflow, bank and payroll reconciliations
Support the Financial Controller with the Internal and External audit requirements.
Provide financial advice for Headteachers, Leadership Teams and other budget holders to make informed financial decisions.
Support Headteachers by providing annual budgets at the start of each academic year and meet at regular intervals as agreed between Headteachers and the Financial Controller.
Final AAT qualification with a minimum of 2 years post qualification experience or part (year 2) CCAB/CIMA professional qualification, or equivalent and continuing professional development (or towards if able to show working knowledge and/or experience)
