c895 is looking for a rock star to lead our membership department. The Fundraising Specialist is in charge of all donor-driven fundraising activities including donor acquisition and stewardship, producing multiple on‑air fund drives, writing and scheduling year‑round fundraising messages, and non‑traditional fundraising including employer matching gifts, vehicle donations, gifts of stock, planned giving, and more.
Here’s what our Membership Director / Fundraising Specialist does throughout the year:
Develops and executes year‑round stewardship communications for current donors
Develops and executes year‑round schedule for direct mail, electronic, and telephone communications for new, renewal, additional gift, and lapsed solicitations
Maintains donor database for tracking all information regarding donors, donations, thank you gifts, and payment status
Enter and confirm donor data and premium information in CRM
Schedules on‑air membership campaigns and establishes on‑air goals in coordination with the General Manager
Selects thank you gifts and associated mailing supplies and coordinates orders with other staff, as necessary
Prepares all on‑air materials, trains staff and on‑air hosts for pitching
Produces on‑air campaign and assists in the oversight and training of staff, students, and volunteers
Develops and manages overall departmental budget including technology, direct mail, and thank you gifts
Develops overall giving strategy to grow and maintain individual donors to the station, including entry‑level, mid‑level and lapsed donors
Develops major giving strategy and modifies, as necessary, to embrace current best practices
Develops planned giving strategy and modifies, as necessary, to embrace current best practices
Develops and maintains major donor program materials to attract potential major donors
Identifies potential major donors and works with General Manager to cultivate and steward potential and current major donors
Develops and maintains planned giving program materials to attract potential and steward identified planned gift donors
Establishes strategy and procedures to grow alternate sources of revenue including, but not limited to, employer matching gifts, vehicle donations, gifts of stock, planned gifts, government payroll deduction programs, and special events

Required
Experience in non‑profit, donor driven fundraising
Knowledge of technology and software, including database management, spreadsheets and electronic communication
Highly self‑motivated, with ability to manage multiple projects and work according to specific deadlines
Excellent written communication and organizational skills
Strong leadership, interpersonal and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to work with full‑time staff, high school students, and adult volunteers
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as necessary
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively
Ability to communicate effectively to multiple audiences both orally and in writing
Ability to work, cooperatively, in an open office environment with music
Desired
Demonstrated experience in Public Radio fundraising
Experience with live on‑air pitching
Knowledge of Allegiance, ACD Direct, PledgeDriver, and Mailchimp
Passion for electronic dance music
Other Considerations
Attend meetings during off‑shift hours
Required to work off‑shift or odd‑shift hours after dark and may be working alone
Required to promote and solicit support for radio station activities and products
Requested to attend off‑site promotions and marketing events in support for radio station activities
Salary & Benefits Information
Salary range is $67,787.20 - $87,048.00 per year
