Executive Director

will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the community to ensure compliance with State and Federal regulations. This position reports to the Director of Operations and agrees to comply with and perform the duties and responsibilities as described below. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES TO INCLUDE:

Provide strategic and day-to-day leadership for the team, including setting performance expectations, coaching and development, managing recruitment and retention, and fostering a positive, high-performing culture aligned with organizational goals. Ensure execution of policies and procedures to maintain high standards of care and service. Ensure residents receive quality care and services, including an engaging environment that supports their physical, emotional, and social needs. This includes addressing resident and family concerns promptly and professionally. Promote programs and activities that enhance residents' quality of life. Maintain complete confidentiality in all business and personal dealings with residents, family, staff, and public. Responsible for the well-being and protection of every resident and all staff when using community property, i.e.; all property of community to be up to code and regulations according to State laws. Promote the community through outreach, events, and relationship-building with partners and referral sources; actively support the sales process by overseeing tours and engaging prospects; develop and execute marketing strategies with Director of Marketing and Director of Sales to maintain occupancy goals. Oversee the admissions process and ensure all regulatory requirements and documentation is obtained and completed for all potential residents. Maintain compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and licensing requirements, including preparation for and management of state inspections and surveys. Ensure accurate documentation and reporting while overseeing housekeeping and maintenance to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment through regular inspections and continuous improvements. Manage the community's budget, including revenue, expenses, and achieve operational and financial objectives including approving vendor contracts and overseeing inventory/purchasing to maintain cost efficiency. Develop and implement emergency preparedness and all procedures and conduct regular drills. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Possess a post-secondary administration degree or Assisted Living Administration Certification (per SD requirements) and a minimum of 3-5 years of leadership experience in senior living, healthcare, or hospitality, with proven skills in operations, budgeting, and staff management. Proficiency in relative software (EHR systems, Microsoft Office). Must have excellent oral and written communication skills Uphold high standards of conduct and confidentiality, monitor and address situations effectively, and deliver responsive, customer-focused service with organization and efficiency. Preferred knowledgeable in Federal, State, and general health care related regulations along with the ability to operationalize said regulations Be available as "on call" when not on the premises with ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed Must have valid driver's license.
