Emergency Medicine Physician Qualifications
Board Certified in Emergency Medicine (ABEM/AOBEM)
Active and unrestricted physician license (Wisconsin preferred)
Minimum 1 year of clinical emergency medicine experience
Clean NPDB/file
Required certifications: ACLS, ATLS, BLS, PALS
Ability to work independently and collaboratively (single/double coverage)
Credentialing timeframe: 60-90 days
Emergency Medicine Physician Responsibilities
Deliver comprehensive emergency medical care to diverse patient populations
Manage patient flow and admissions (admission rate ~20%)
Collaborate with advanced practice clinicians (APCs) and clinical support staff
Respond to trauma cases and coordinate care with surgical and specialty services
Provide coverage at regional hospitals as neededWork in a facility with 24/7 anesthesia, general surgery, laboratory, orthopedic surgery, radiology, and L&D support
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
