SUMMARY:

Responsible for all member service duties, sales, and relationship management while reaching established goals. Consistently follows the ALEC delivery process, possesses product knowledge to deepen member relationships, and performs the essential functions within the position. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Demonstrates understanding of and commitment to the credit union’s ongoing mission, vision, and core values. Maintains mastery level knowledge of all ALEC products, services, procedures, policies and appropriate regulatory issues relating to daily job. Consistently provides exceptional member service to every member, internal and external, every time by adhering to the ALEC Service Model. Processes a variety of member transactions with minimal errors, according to established ALEC policies and procedures; including but not limited to deposits, withdrawals, cash advances, loan payments, transfers and check cashing on credit union data processing system, accounting for assigned cash; opening and closing of terminal as needed. Identifies and matches member product needs with ALEC products and services by interviewing members and discussing their financial needs, including making referrals to other staff members and departments to ensure member needs are met. Opens certificates of deposit, and other ancillary deposit accounts; answers member questions, and provides account opening information. Retains existing members and develops new member relationships. Represents credit union in various marketing and sponsor related activities and events. Assists with daily vault/cash procedures. Maintains professional appearance and image while conducting business with members and vendors. Performs security functions by opening and closing branch and vault and ensuring overall safety. Remains updated on all security procedures and equipment. SECONDARY FUNCTIONS: Works in a team setting on various projects including employee contests, sales programs, etc. Provides back-up support for ITM processing as needed. Pursues personal development opportunities to improve knowledge as it relates to the position, compliance, and the credit union in general. Adheres to all policies and procedures and maintains member confidentially in accordance with ALEC policies. Floats between locations as deemed necessary for business coverage on any given day for any requested time period, including possible extended periods of time. Other duties may be assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: Education Required: High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) Experience Required: One (1) year of experience in a customer service role with cash-handling experience. Experience Preferred: 1-2 years of experience in a service role with cash-handling experience within a financial institution.

TRAVEL:

Up to 15% local travel
