Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and proactive Payroll & HRIS Manager to lead global payroll operations and oversee HR systems across several international markets. This role will report into senior People leadership and partner closely with Finance to ensure accurate, compliant, and scalable payroll and people data processes.
Payroll & HRIS Manager Responsibilities:
Own end-to-end global payroll processing across the US, UK, Ireland, and France, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with local regulations.
Partner closely with Finance on payroll funding, reconciliations, audits, and month-end close activities.
Manage payroll inputs for salaried, hourly, and commission-based employee populations.
Oversee statutory filings, tax submissions, and year-end payroll requirements in each jurisdiction.
Design and implement scalable payroll processes to support continued international growth.
Act as the primary administrator for HRIS and payroll platforms, ensuring data integrity, security, and system optimization.
Maintain accurate and confidential employee records across all people systems.
Lead system enhancements, integrations, and reporting improvements in partnership with People and Finance teams.
Support manager and employee adoption through training, documentation, and self-service enablement.
Produce and deliver regular payroll and people metrics for senior leadership.
Analyze workforce data including headcount, turnover, commissions, and overtime to support business planning.
Build dashboards and automated reporting to improve visibility, accuracy, and efficiency.
Ensure adherence to payroll, tax, and employment regulations across all operating regions.
Monitor changes in labor and tax laws and assess impact on payroll and HR systems.
Manage relationships with external payroll vendors, auditors, and local advisors to ensure best practices and compliance.
Payroll & HRIS Manager Qualifications:
Proven experience managing multi-country payroll operations, ideally across the US and Europe.
Strong working knowledge of payroll compliance, tax regulations, and statutory reporting.
Hands‑on experience administering HRIS and payroll systems, including reporting and integrations.
Highly detail‑oriented with strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
Comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, scaling organization with evolving processes.
Strong communication skills and the ability to partner cross‑functionally with Finance and People teams.
