The Process Controller is responsible for assuring that the processes within the facility are defined, measured, and in control with respect to actual performances, thereby improving the economics of the process.

Key Responsibilities
Ensures all products, process and areas comply with quality specifications. Inspects items and equipment for defects, inconsistencies, cleanliness standards, packaging errors, etc.
Adheres to and ensures compliance with all USDA, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and Safety/Food Safety procedures, standards and guidelines.
Monitors quality indicators and works closely with the quality assurance team to monitor, maintain and document processes for compliance, product specifications and standards; may include chemical testing to ensure proper titration, monitoring of inbound and outbound shipments and trailers.
Works closely across multiple teams to maintain process continuity and ensure seamless operations with timely product delivery.
Identifies and quickly resolves any issues in the process, including machinery breakdowns, material shortages, or process inefficiencies.
Maintains daily records of activities, performance metrics, and any issues that arise.
Monitors various processes tracking, collecting data, and/or documenting as needed, including microbial findings and lab scores. Provides reports to inform opportunities.
Assists with Pre‑Op process.
Initiates and assists in foreign material investigations.
Helps provide input on process improvements.
Train/retrain hourly team members, Process Controllers and QA Technicians as needed, including when developing new processes.
Must cross‑train in other areas.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (Education & Experience)
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Basic math and typing skills.
Willingness to work overtime and flexible shifts as required.
At least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States.
Pass a background check, drug screen and pre‑employment physical.
Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Working knowledge of production machinery and/or processes.
Good learning agility.
Organization, time‑management, prioritization, and multi‑tasking skills with the ability to ensure timeliness of all quality checks.
Ability to troubleshoot and solve routine problems and equipment/process issues using established standards.
Detail‑oriented with the ability to maintain quality and safety standards.
Good communication and teamwork skills with the ability to effectively interact across multiple teams.
Ability to be flexible and resourceful in response to changing priorities and needs.
Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Experience in manufacturing or production environment, preferably in process control.
Physical Demands
Ability to work in a constant state of alertness in a safe manner.
Standing (8 hours a day or more).
Lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling (up to and including 50 lbs or more).
Reaching overhead (up to and including 25 lbs).
Working at heights.
Gripping, grasping and twisting using wrists, hands and fingers.
Bending and stooping for short periods of time.
Working below knee levels for short periods of time.
Working above shoulder level for short periods of time.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
Working Conditions & Travel Requirements
Work is performed in a food processing plant with a high noise level, storage coolers/facilities.
Position requires working around processing plant equipment.
Must be physically capable of working extended hours if needed and in a wet environment, standing for long periods of time, and operating processing equipment.
This position requires the individual to wear and work in personal protective equipment while in the manufacturing environment.
The noise level of the office environment is usually moderate; the noise level in the manufacturing environment may exceed 85 dBA and require hearing protection.
This position does not require travel.
