Mission Restoration
A Claims Specialist is responsible for managing and preparing detailed insurance supplements on behalf of homeowners for property damage claims. This role involves reviewing adjuster estimates, identifying missing or underpaid items, compiling supporting documentation, citing building codes, and communicating directly with insurance carriers to negotiate accurate and fair claim settlements. The Claims Specialist ensures that all repair scopes reflect true industry standards, manufacturer requirements, and local code compliance.
Successful candidates are highly organized, able to manage multiple files simultaneously, and maintain accurate documentation. They should be time-efficient, capable of working within strict carrier deadlines, and assertive in advocating for the homeowner’s best interest. A strong Claims Specialist is also a quick learner, adapting quickly to different carriers’ guidelines, software systems, and evolving industry standards.
Key responsibilities include:
Writing supplements and detailed F9 notes
Reviewing scopes, reports, and photos
Communicating with adjusters and homeowners
Citing Code, IRC, and manufacturer guidelines
Ensuring proper repair methods are followed
Tracking approvals, payments, and timelines
This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent written communication, and the ability to confidently negotiate with insurance carriers on behalf of the client.
Experience is not required but preferred.
Base + 4% commission bonus
