The Dermatology Health & Science Specialist is responsible for launching new products, deciding upon best strategies to manage business relationships, understanding formulary access, and engaging in product promotion within assigned accounts. The role also involves sales efforts and relationship development with assigned customers and accounts, including Therapeutic Area Specialists and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).
Role Responsibilities
Effectively identify and implement the most efficient virtual/in‑person engagement strategies by customer to maximize overall effectiveness and impact.
Develop and implement effective business and territory call plans and adapt based on self‑identified opportunities and insights.
Build rapport and relationships with customers across virtual and face‑to‑face environments; maintain a methodical approach toward call objectives, documenting next steps and managing KPIs.
Utilize current digital tools effectively (e.g., Veeva Engage, Zoom, Microsoft Office) and adapt quickly to new tools for successful customer engagement; leverage analytics to develop insights and next‑best action plans.
Compliantly deliver relevant, targeted messaging utilizing approved materials to drive product demand and leverage account priorities to achieve positive business outcomes; proactively provide insights for the development of new messaging and resources.
Leverage product and disease state knowledge to educate providers on unbranded and branded product value proposition for relevant patient populations; use clinical disease state information as applicable.
Coordinate with HCPs and office staff to plan customer engagements in multiple formats and support the strategic deployment of approved Pfizer resources (samples, vouchers, co‑pay resources, patient education).
Support patients’ access to Pfizer products by providing information on reimbursement, the Patient Assistant Program, Pfizer hub programs, and co‑pay resources.
Present terms of sale and existing contract terms where appropriate; proactively answer on‑label questions and introduce customers to the future state Pfizer on‑demand portal (Galaxy).
Collaborate compliantly with cross‑functional colleagues, including Field Medical, Reimbursement, and Key Account Management, to address inquiries and advance Pfizer objectives using triaging protocols and digital apps to connect with SMEs.
Use calendaring tools, leadership goals, and personal insights to address customer priorities and bring insights from customer surveys to leadership to improve the model.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree.
Minimum of 3 years of pharmaceutical or biotech, medical marketing, promotional or sales experience, with a promoted or developmental role demonstrating leadership across peer groups.
Strong territory management, outstanding communication, teamwork, leadership ability, and accountability.
Must live within 50 miles of the territory.
Valid U.S. driver’s license and compliant driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
3‑5 years of specialty marketing, promotional, or sales experience.
Strong knowledge of disease states, therapeutic areas, and products.
Deep knowledge of applicable customers and markets.
Strategic account marketing, promotional, sales, and management skills.
Superior marketing, promotional, sales, technical, and relationship‑building skills.
Track record of assessing account needs, providing relevant information and resources, and driving performance.
Strong business acumen, problem‑solving, strategic thinking, data analytical, project management, and planning skills.
Ability to engage, influence, and support customers throughout the marketing, promotional, and sales process with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Quick learner, adaptable to new ways of working in a rapidly changing environment.
Matrix working ability and resource leverage to meet customer needs.
Collaboration and effective utilization of available resources to drive performance.
Experience with key thought leaders or high‑influence customers in large group practices, hospitals, or managed care organizations.

Non‑standard Work Schedule, Travel Or Environment Requirements Ability to travel to all accounts/office locations within the territory; depending on size of territory and business need, candidates may be required to stay overnight as necessary.

The annual base salary ranges from $114,500 to $222,100. The position starts as a salary non‑exempt employee eligible for overtime pay; upon training certification the employee becomes an overtime exempt employee. An additional quarterly sales incentive bonus is offered.
Benefits include a 401(k) plan with Pfizer matching contributions and additional retirement savings contribution; paid vacation, holiday, and personal days; paid caregiver/parental and medical leave; health benefits (medical, prescription drug, dental, vision). Relocation assistance may be available based on business needs and/or eligibility.
