Role Purpose This role is responsible for the development and execution of Global Supply Management (GSM) strategic sourcing strategies, policies, tactics and objectives for assigned complex global commodities that align and are linked with the business units, commercial, supply chain and manufacturing strategies.

Key Responsibilities

Develops and/or assists with Strategic Sourcing plans and objectives (short & long term) based on forecasts of future demand and taking into account economic and currency trends and conditions that affect GSM, the business, and the global commodity sourced.

Works with the Business, GSSM, and Buyers on assigned global commodities to prepare and solicit competitive bids, quotations, and proposals with pertinent specifications, terms and conditions.

Develops and reviews specifications, statements of work, performance terms and accept/reject criteria.

Conducts negotiations with potential and/or current major suppliers to obtain maximum value.

Owns the Supplier Relationship Management process for assigned suppliers. This includes leading the development of supplier relationships and works with internal stakeholders and suppliers to continuously improve performance by developing robust key performance indicators

Champions and advocates for the Global Buying Policy.

Assists with logistics, shipping (export and import)

Ensures trade compliance accuracy

Drives process and systems improvement projects to improve efficiency

Experiences / Education (Required)

Bachelor of Science degree in supply chain, business, or related fields

Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in procurement or supply chain operations and/or related field demonstrating proven track record of results

Excellent Communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills

Strong analytical skills

Experience / Education (Desired)

Project Management experience with a focus on procurement or supply chain initiatives

Experience of basic principles of with Logistics and Trade Compliance

Process improvement; embraces automation over manual processing

Self-motivated, positive attitude

Professional certifications such as ISM (Certified Professional in Supply Management, CPSM, Certified Purchasing Manager, CPIM, Certified Supply Chain Professional

The range for this position is $80,738.00 - $111,015.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job‑related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
