ERP Project Manager - Epicor Kinetic

We are seeking an experienced ERP Project Manager to join our organization on a contract-to-hire basis to lead the successful implementation and adoption of Epicor Kinetic within a highly regulated Aerospace & Defense (A&D) manufacturing environment.
This role goes beyond traditional project management. The ideal candidate is a change leader who has guided organizations through multiple ERP implementations end-to-end, with at least one full Epicor Kinetic implementation in A&D. Following the initial implementation phases, this individual is expected to transition into a permanent leadership role, owning user adoption, post-go-live stabilization, future phases, and the Epicor Kinetic continual improvement roadmap.
Key Responsibilities ERP Program & Delivery Leadership
Serve as the “client-side ERP PM” leading the day-to-day Epicor Kinetic implementation lifecycle from detailed planning through go‑live, stabilization, and subsequent phases.
Operate as the PMO representative to the client, supporting PMO activities, status reporting, and executing the implementation playbook.
Own the integrated project plan across ERP, data migration, integrations, reporting, and compliance‑related workstreams.
Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, implementation partners, and internal IT/operations teams.
Proactively manage scope, timeline, risks, dependencies, and change control.
Drive organizational change management across operations, supply chain, quality, finance, and engineering.
Lead user readiness activities including role‑based training strategy, communication planning, adoption metrics and feedback loops.
Ensure Epicor Kinetic is not only implemented but effectively used across the organization.
A&D Compliance & Operational Readiness
Partner with Quality, Operations, and Compliance teams to ensure ERP processes support: A&D traceability requirements, controlled data (e.g., CUI), audit readiness and evidence capture.
Ensure compliance considerations are embedded into day‑to‑day workflows, not treated as afterthoughts.
Transition from implementation leadership to long‑term platform ownership.
Establish and lead the Epicor Kinetic continuous improvement program, including: enhancement backlog prioritization, release planning, optimization of workflows and reporting, serve as the internal Epicor SME and program owner post‑hire.
Required Qualifications
7+ years of ERP project or program management experience.
Multiple end‑to‑end ERP implementations as a Project Manager.
At least one Epicor Kinetic implementation in an Aerospace & Defense manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated success leading ERP‑driven change management and user adoption.
Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, including supply chain, production, quality, and finance.
Proven ability to manage complex, cross‑functional stakeholder groups.
Experience working with external implementation partners and consulting teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Background in management consulting or digital transformation consulting, with experience leading ERP or enterprise transformation programs from discovery through execution.
Experience transitioning ERP programs from implementation into steady‑state governance and optimization.
Familiarity with regulated manufacturing environments and audit‑driven operating models.
Experience supporting governance structures, steering committees, and cadence‑based reporting.
Strong executive communication skills with the ability to translate technical and process concepts into business outcomes.
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Advanced degrees and project/change management certifications (PMP, Prosci, etc.) are preferred but not required.
Highly Desirable Certifications: Epicor Kinetic implementation or functional certifications; AS9100, A&D quality, or regulated manufacturing certifications; Prosci / ADKAR or equivalent change management certification; PMP, SAFe, or equivalent project management certification.
