Technical Adoption Manager Remote: This role is a home‑based office position in the continental US. Candidates must be able to travel up to 30% regionally.

Success in the Role What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?

Within one month: articulate customer business objectives and start crafting a joint Success Plan.

Throughout the engagement, serve as a trusted advisor, ensuring best‑in‑class execution and recommending improvements that add value, drive consumption, and enhance customer health and retention.

Articulate long‑term and short‑term goals, identify gaps, and develop a structured engagement plan.

Complete technology assessments, roadmap reviews, deployment guidance, best‑practice reviews, and day‑2 operations guidance.

Identify use cases and opportunities for adoption guidance and workshops.

Present achievements and customer progress in Quarterly Business Reviews.

Communicate VMware solutions across all customer levels to drive realized value and strategy.

Continuously grow technical knowledge and soft skills through VMware’s quarterly training programs.

The Work As part of the Technical Adoption Manager team, you will work with assigned customers to drive rapid adoption of VMware technology.

Leverage experience in customer‑facing positions such as TAM, Solution Engineer, technology consultant, or IT vendor.

Apply expertise with enterprise‑level virtualization and map VMware solutions to customers’ unique business and technical requirements.

Use Azure or VCF, VVF, VMC/AWS, NSX, or automation/monitoring products to support customer success.

Utilize a TAM playbook, delivery kits, and tools to guide customers through success planning, roadmapping, best‑practice review, operational optimization, industry insights, and benchmarking.

Build relationships with C‑level executives and internal VMware teams.

Track and adjust customers’ plans to ensure timely completion.

Collaborate with Customer Success, Global Support, Education, Professional Services, Development, and Sales teams to create “customers for life.”

Share experiences with the global TAM community.

Leadership & Culture Managers support teams, prioritize success, and encourage collaboration. The TAM organization focuses on strategic customer outcomes, enables maximum value, and fosters a diverse, unified, and open culture.

Location Remote – home‑based office in the continental US.

Experience / Education Bachelor's degree preferred. 12+ years of related experience or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.

Legal Authorization Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.

Compensation and Benefits The On Target Earnings (OTE) range for this position is $151,900 - $243,000. OTE includes sales incentive commission and the position is eligible for equity.
