Responsibilities Your Main Tasks:
Oversee inmate work crews in the production/service of meals
Preparation/inventory documents before each meal
Oversee additional records such as service plan, tray assessments, restricted diets, daily sanitation, and meal delivery
Carry out the orientation and training program for inmate workers
Ensure safety compliance and monitor equipment maintenance
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
Valid Arizona State driver’s license
Ability to understand the facility’s recipes, policies, and procedures
Ability to communicate minimum production/service requirements of the job to all personnel
One‑year prior experience in managing or producing food in commercial, military, or institutional setting (helpful)
Prior correctional food service training helpful but not mandatory
Ability to work with computers and necessary software used by the department
Physical Requirements
Frequently:
Lift or carry and push/pull up to 60 lbs.; sit
Occasionally:
Lift, carry, push/pull up to 60 lbs. (sometimes more); bend, stoop, reach above shoulder, climb, walk, and stand
