R0011051Product Design Engineer - ActiveWe are seeking a Product Design Engineer to join our Active Bikes team at the Specialized Cham office, focused on creating innovative and high-performance bicycles that redefine rider experience. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing bicycle frames and components from concept through production, ensuring optimal performance, durability, and user experience. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, supporting technical analysis, prototyping, testing, and documentation to deliver cutting-edge products. This position is ideal for an engineering professional with a passion for mechanical design, two-wheel dynamics, and sustainable innovation, combining creativity, technical expertise, and strong organizational skills to shape the future of active biking.**HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE*** With your innovative mindset you will deliver new designs and concepts that make new products more relevant and useful for our customers.* You show ownership that the projects you’re assigned and take care of them all the way to Production release.* You can manage being assign multiple projects in a fast-paced, complex and deadline driven environment.* You will work with the global team (Product Management, Engineering Group, Industrial Design, Project Managers, etc.) and iterate products through design revisions and testing requirements.* You will create 3D and 2D drawings using CREO (Pro/e) CAD software.* You will handle own project management work (including PLM) for projects as assigned, and keep relevant documentation updated and Rev controlled in correct lifecycle.* You will travel regularly to our Freiburg office (Germany) to partner closely with design engineers, and occasionally to Asia to partner closely with suppliers and manufacturing engineers as needed.* You will support the Active bike Category by delivering feedback on team dynamics, areas of improvement and unseen successes.**WHAT YOU NEED TO WIN*** Bachelor’s/Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering, with 2–5 years of relevant experience* Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, ideally within the bicycle industry* Understanding of a product development process, from Concept to Production including lab testing and certification* Experience in working with external manufacturing partners* Experience in designing metal and plastic parts.* Proficient in CAD software (preferably Pro/E - Creo) and GD&T dimensioning* Experience in creating and managing technical documentation and version control* Familiarity with PLM or PDM systems is a strong asset* Workshop hands-on skills, ability to work on a bike and with prototype parts* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; any other language is a plus in particular German, French, Spanish, Mandarin, Vietnamese or Italian.* Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills* Passion for bicycles and/or experience in the cycling industry is a definite advantage* Interest in the Active Category and the future of urban transportation and e-mobility* Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with remote teams### Get In TouchIntroduce yourself to our recruiters and we'll get in touch if there's a role that seems like a good match. #J-18808-Ljbffr
