The Senior Movable Bridge Mechanical Technical Specialist leads the design and coordination of mechanical systems for movable bridge projects. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, ensuring project schedules, budgets, and code compliance are achieved while delivering innovative, sustainable transportation solutions. Responsibilities
Coordinate the work of Mechanical Engineers with the balance of a multidiscipline team throughout the entire project's development Establish client relations and participate in marketing, design, and production meetings concerning mechanical systems Serve as the mechanical lead on many projects Participate in reviews with governing agencies for code compliance Conduct schematic, design development, and contract document work sessions at project sites in conjunction with the Project Manager, Project Architect, and other disciplines Coordinate workload to complete documents on schedule Track financial aspects of projects, adjusting work efforts to ensure completion within the agreed schedule Collaborate with the Project Manager, Regional Controller, and Regional Director for project reviews with corporate management as needed Perform other duties as required Preferred Qualifications
Experience in movable bridge design, hydraulic structures design, or heavy infrastructure Experience with AutoDesk Inventor Required Qualifications
Associate's degree in engineering or related field of study or equivalent work experience Minimum of 15 years of engineering experience in the discipline to be supported Hands‑on experience with computer applications specific to the discipline Extensive knowledge of industry standards specific to the discipline being supported Proven ability to work in multidisciplinary environments Proficient with Microsoft Office Excellent verbal and written communication skills Commitment to HDR’s employee‑owned culture is a must Location & Contact
