HR Generalist, NOGE
Position Overview: We are seeking an enthusiastic Human Resources (HR) Generalist to join our team and provide day to day support as a valued contributor to our HR team. Reporting to the local HR Manager, this onsite role will offer you the opportunity to work on the employee facing operational side of HR in a technical and high consequence manufacturing environment. As a HR Generalist, you will play a pivotal role in advocating for our workforce and aligning HR strategies with our business objectives. You will work closely with management and employees across all levels, fostering a culture of engagement, development, and performance. Your Day to Day as an HR Generalist:
Assists and supports the hiring process; manages a staffing plan and job requisitions, prepares and delivers offer letters, and initiates pre-employment screening.
Coordinates new-hire orientations, collecting, verifying, and processing new-hire paperwork.
Maintains and updates both digital and physical employee files, ensuring all personnel data is accurate and confidential.
Assists with performance management, including investigations that may lead to discipline up to and including termination.
Provides information on company policies and procedures, proactively remains up to date on employment laws and regulations and prepares standard work reports on general HR activity.
Responds to internal and external HR-related inquiries, addresses employee questions, and serves as a communication bridge between employees and management.
Thoroughly understands the collective bargaining agreement and supports management and employees in adhering to.
Supports organizational changes by guiding teams through transitions and enhancing employee experience during periods of transformation.
Required Qualifications:
A minimum of a bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or a closely related field is required.
Must possess a minimum of one (1) year of related experience in human resources. Prior experience may include HR internships or work as a HR coordinator where similar duties were performed.
Understanding of HR policies, procedures, and best practices, with the demonstrated ability to adapt to the unique culture of a high consequence manufacturing organization.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of engaging and influencing employees and leaders of varied backgrounds and generations.
Analytical mindset with experience in leveraging data to inform decision-making.
Demonstrated passion for employee engagement, organizational development, and continuously improving the workplace.
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and to work collaboratively with cross functional teams.
Demonstrated time management skills with the ability to effectively balance multiple competing priorities.
Demonstrated intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite's Outlook, PowerPoint and Word. With an advanced proficiency level in Excel to produce required business reporting.
Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service while ensuring legal and policy compliance.
This position supports a safety and quality driven, 24-7 manufacturing operation and requires the ability and availability to work the occasional adjusted schedule. Variations to normal work hours may include but are not limited to, support of early morning meetings, engagement with the shop floor during 2nd shift evening operations, scheduled plant initiatives, unplanned after-hours investigations and pre-planned weekend employee events.
Must be a U.S. citizen.
Ability to report to work at an assigned office location. This position does not include a remote work option.
Preferred Qualifications:
Operational Excellence or Continuous Improvement training.
Certification as a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt or greater.

Pay: $59,000 - $88,000
The base salary range for this position in Ohio (US-OH) at the start of employment is expected to be between $59,000 and $88,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed 'at-will,' unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement. The company further reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment, compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and other market factors.
