Job Description

Oversee, lead, and set priorities for the income tax team

Select, coach, train, and develop direct reports, to include appraising job performance and conducting performance reviews

Review federal, state and local income tax returns, quarterly estimated taxable income calculations and amended returns as necessary

Analyze and research complex technical tax issues

Review and manage responses to federal and state audits

Manage relationship with accounting department to ensure information is recorded to facilitate compliance requirements

Develop and implement practices and procedures for efficient collection of information, including development of new processes to meet changing tax law requirements

Model behaviors that support the company’s common purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest level

Ensure all activities are in compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures

Complete other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting required

Masters’ degree in taxation or LLM preferred

Minimum five years’ public accounting or corporate/public accounting experience required

Minimum two years’ supervisory experience required

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or pursuit of CPA preferred

Partnership and S Corporation multi-state, multi-entity experience preferred

Specialized Knowledge

Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Access, required

Tax research

Accounting and tax software skills
