Responsibilities The EMT Intermediate is responsible for delivering high‑quality care to ill or injured patients under varied conditions in collaboration with department‑specific personnel. The role requires strong assessment skills and the ability to function using written standards when physician contact is not possible. The EMT must also participate in departmental committees, public relations, and outreach education.
Required Qualifications
Education to meet certification, license, or registration requirements.
Emergency Medical Technician Intermediate license upon hire, or
Emergency Medical Technician Advanced license upon hire.
National Provider BLS – American Heart Association upon hire.

Pay Range $16.25 – $24.36 per hour (base pay). Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, standby/on‑call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
