Responsibilities As an Assistant Manager, you are responsible for everything that happens during your shift, including cost controls, inventory control, cash control, customer relations, staffing, paperwork, food management, scheduling, store cleanliness, marketing and profitability. You must set the example by following all policy and procedures 100% of the time and expect the same from your crew.
General Job Duties
Operate all equipment.
Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, and walk‑in cooler.
Prepare product.
Receive and process telephone orders.
Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.
Communication Skills
Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers to process orders both over the phone and in person.
Essential Functions / Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator).
Make correct monetary change.
Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers for rapid accurate movements.
Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
Physical & Work Conditions
Exposure to varying weather when delivering product, driving, and couponing.
In‑store temperatures range from 36°F in cooler to 90°F or higher in some work areas.
Fumes from food odors; exposure to cornmeal dust.
Cramped quarters including walk‑in cooler; hot surfaces/tools up to 500°F.
Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.
Additional Physical Demands
Stooping/Bending at the pizza assembly station; forward bending necessary.
Crouching/Squatting occasionally to stock shelves and clean low areas.
Reaching above 72″ to operate oven controls and lift objects.
Hand tasks: frequent use of forearms and wrists; manipulating pizza peel, rolling cutter, and cardboard boxes.
Driving Requirements
Valid driver's license with safe driving record meeting company standards.
Access to an insured vehicle for delivery.
Navigational skills; ability to locate addresses and navigate adverse terrain.
