Instrument & Electrical Technician (Open)
Location: Orlando, FL (AMG) - ASU Overview
Airgas is hiring an Instrument & Electrical Technician to operate and control equipment used in the process of air separation and to maintain plant mechanical, instrumentation, and electrical devices and equipment. Compensation & Benefits
$30–35/hr & Up DOE Hours: Monday–Friday 7 am–3 pm (On‑Call Rotating) 4 % Annual Bonus Full benefits package: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, AD&D, Short‑Term & Long‑Term Disability, Vacation, Sick, Paid Holidays, 14 weeks paid childbirth benefit, 401(k) with company match, Tuition Assistance and more. Benefits start after 30 days of employment. Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and repair instruments up to 480 volts. Maintain and troubleshoot instrumentation systems and calibrations in accordance with manufacturers’ instructions, local work instructions and governing regulations. Install, maintain, adjust and repair manual, pneumatic, electric, and electronic measuring, recording, and regulating instrumentation. Perform preventative inspections on mechanical equipment and systems per manufacturer’s instructions and regulations. Maintain and troubleshoot electrical systems in accordance with manufacturers’ instructions and regulations. Maintain quality control and quality assurance equipment, including process analyzers and gas chromatographs. Maintain calibration standards, including inspection, testing, measuring equipment and calibration gas cylinders. Perform routine and non‑routine analytical calibrations and adjustments. Maintain, troubleshoot, and perform maintenance on compressors, pumps, turbines, valves, motors, and other plant equipment. Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required. 5+ years of experience maintaining instrumentation and electrical systems in an industrial technical environment. Preferred Qualifications
Minimum two years of college, technical school, or military technical experience preferred. Contact
