Monitor Technician – Inova Health
This full‑time night shift position (36 hours per week, 7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.) involves monitoring patients on telemetry and maintaining accurate logs.

Job Responsibilities
Maintain rhythm strips and monitoring logs in accordance with unit policies, verified by random log audits.
Notify the nurse immediately of loss of clear telemetry signal and arrange coverage when leaving the monitor room.
Recognize, record, and inform the nurse of abnormalities or changes in patient waveforms.
Troubleshoot and maintain equipment and supplies.
Admit and discharge patients from the telemetry system in accordance with unit policy.
Participate in unit quality‑improvement initiatives, evidenced by attendance at staff meetings and verbalising understanding of unit initiatives.
Page STAT to a registered nurse and other healthcare team members for patients with life‑threatening arrhythmias, initiating MSET per unit policy.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Additional Requirements
Education: High School diploma or GED.
Experience: Prior telemetry/EKG monitoring experience in a hospital setting is required.
