Position Associate Attorney – Round Rock, TX
Base salary: $90,000–$105,000 per year plus applicable bonus. This is a full‑time, full‑benefit position.
Responsibilities
Communicate effectively and appropriately with team members and outside parties
Draft, review, and file legal pleadings, motions, discovery, and other documents in active litigation files
Review litigation case files and pleadings to determine appropriate action
Advocate on behalf of the client’s interests at various litigation settings
Utilize internal proprietary software to update and document the status of each account in the assigned inventory
Analyze and process litigation inventory reports and files, as assigned by Managing Attorney, to ensure proper workflow pursuant to firm and client expectations
Comply with all client and firm standard operating procedures
Travel to various courtrooms within the branch office footprint as required
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
Admitted to practice law and in good standing in Texas
Strong organizational and time‑management skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Highly motivated self‑starter
Eager to learn and grow
Ability to manage and prioritize a large caseload
Effective communication in a common language with individuals or groups, verbally and/or in writing
Proficient computer and phone usage
Commit to a minimum of a 40‑hour flexible workweek
Ability to read and comprehend position‑specific documents and correspondence
Preferred Qualifications
At least one year of litigation/trial experience
Working knowledge of civil procedure
Debt collection experience
Prior experience in a high‑volume environment
Physical Qualifications
Capable of lifting five pounds or greater
Capable of sitting 90% of the workday at times
Capable of bending at the waist and being mobile when needed
Capable of concentrating and using critical thinking
