We are looking for an HVAC Technical Support Advisor to work from an office‑based setting in either our Cincinnati or Columbus location, supporting customers and associates in the Southern Indiana territory by phone and occasional in‑person site visits.
Responsibilities
Provide technical phone support to HVAC and ductless contractors regarding installation and servicing challenges.
Travel to perform field visits as necessary for the resolution of issues after phone support.
Instruct contractors on repair or troubleshooting methods.
Determine best methods to satisfy contractors and end users.
Ensure customers/contractors represent products accurately and reputably.
Evaluate customer/contractor installations through field visits.
Act as liaison between vendors and contractors/customers.
Build and maintain working relationships with sales associates and customers.
Conduct HVAC customer training at Ferguson, tailored to product and customer needs.
Provide HVAC training at contractor locations as needed.
Provide technical support and training to inside and outside sales teams in branches.
Participate in continuing education and professional development as required.
Participate in new product support and training as required.
Support outside sales with customer visits as needed.
Accurately document all conversations and field visits.
Process vendor paperwork and claim entries, including warranty issues, labor reimbursements, and equipment concessions.
Ensure credits are submitted to the appropriate Ferguson channel for writing of the credit.
Qualifications
5+ years HVAC field service and/or distributor field service experience.
Exceptional understanding of field service skills related to HVAC equipment installations and troubleshooting.
Knowledge of HVAC field service tools and equipment and their use.
Familiarity with residential and commercial unitary systems and ductless systems preferred.
Excellent customer service skills.
Strong organizational skills.
Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
Enthusiastic approach to customer service and desire to train others.
Ability to travel, sometimes overnight.

Pay Range $4,766.67 - $7,625.00 per month (salaried roles). This role is bonus or incentive plan eligible.
