Summary Seeking a dynamic, professional Analyst who will be a key part of the Company's Nederland Terminal Accounting Team. The Nederland Terminal Accounting Team is responsible for billing and ticketing functions for all Nederland assets as well as general business analysis, reporting and cost reimbursement analysis. The prospective employee will perform a combination of invoice and cost analysis. Additionally, the Analyst will participate in cost budgeting and budget analysis duties on a per product basis in support of Operations Management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Determine and resolve, if applicable, cost allocation methods used to distinguish results between commodities

Analyze, calculate and record O&M monthly cost and project accruals

Update Nederland cost allocation methods monthly before allocating cost to final cost centers

Perform monthly cost allocation

Communicate with operations stewards their actual versus budget cost per product per steward and document monthly variance explanations to put into TM1 for cost controls.

Create in SAP new Work Breakout Structures (WBS) for unbudgeted projects along with routing authorization for expenditures and keeping up with project forecast

Provide support and analysis, as required, to support the Operations budget and staff meetings.

Proactively seek opportunities to streamline process and enhance controls.

Special projects as needed

Provide contractual information to internal and external customers.

Ability to interpret complex contracts and apply the necessary accounting and control practices.

Requirements: Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience

General ledger experience and strong understanding of coding and cost reporting.

Advanced Excel skills and systems knowledge.

Must be able to proactively identify financial issues and drive towards solutions.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and influence others outside of the department.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Must be able to adapt well to rapidly changing priorities and responsibilities and work well in a fast paced and growing environment.

Proven team player, with the ability to develop and maintain collaborative working relationships, while demonstrating a high level of cooperation and mutual respect.

Hands on problem solver with a roll up your sleeves style approach.

Strong work ethic and a positive can-do attitude.

Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level

The Associate Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 0-2 years of relevant job related experience

The Specialist/Analyst level requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 2-5 years of relevant job related experience

Preferred Qualifications: Education and/or experience, knowledge, skills & abilities

Terminal accounting experience preferred.

SAP and Synthesis experience a plus.

Working Conditions Usually, normal office working conditions.

Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.

Occasional travel may be required.

Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings which may include hazardous materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
