City of Rosenberg
Under general supervision of the Director of Economic Development, this position is responsible for developing, coordinating and implementing a program designed for business recruitment and attraction to the City of Rosenberg.
Assists the Director of Economic Development in business recruitment and attraction efforts including:
Develops, implements and maintains a site readiness program
Matches available properties with the needs of prospective companies
Coordinates responses to inbound RFPs and RFIs as assigned
Meets with prospective companies interested in locating to Rosenberg
Prepares financial analysis, tax abatement calculations and feasibility studies for assigned projects
Participates in development of new and existing business and industrial parks through both public initiatives and public and private partnerships
Acts as a departmentally neutral, project facilitator to be accessed by and for City of Rosenberg development stakeholders
Maintains confidentiality of all prospect information, which may include company name, type of industry and financial information
Develops, implements and maintains marketing campaigns including, but not limited to printed collateral materials, advertisements, e-mail marketing, industry‑specific communications and content creation for social media
Assists the Director of Economic Development with operations of the department including:
Maintains the Economic Development section of the city website and regularly monitors, evaluates and recommends ways to update it to best market Rosenberg
Develops and recommends policy for economic development initiatives and long‑range economic development plans and programs to meet the needs of the community
Implements and monitors contract compliance and deliverables of economic development performance agreements, tax abatements and contracts
Monitors, analyzes and prepares budget reporting and financial data for the department
Manages grant funds and related programs such as the Business Improvement Grant and HOT Grant programs
Conducts research, analysis and distribution of pertinent economic and demographic data
Administrative tasks include, but not limited to screening calls, preparing purchase requisitions and orders, processing invoices, ordering office supplies, booking travel arrangements, and scheduling meetings
Provides staff support to the Rosenberg Development Corporation, City Council and other boards or commissions as necessary including the preparation of agendas, minutes and other documentation as necessary
Performs other duties as assigned
Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration, Business Management, Real Estate, Urban Planning, or related field
Three (3) years of progressively responsible professional level experience in economic development programs pertaining to industrial and commercial business retention and expansion
Possess and maintain a valid Class C Texas Driver’s License and acceptable driving record
Reliable transportation and liability insurance
Appointment will be conditional upon successful completion of the following pre‑employment checks:
Criminal background check
Controlled substance screening
