Senior Attorney

General Legal is seeking a senior attorney with significant commercial contracts experience to review, mark up, and negotiate a high volume of commercial agreements. The attorney will be responsible for exercising independent legal judgment, refining markups, and ensuring accuracy, risk alignment, and deal intent of contract mark‑ups while working hand in hand with cutting‑edge AI tools. The attorney should be enthusiastic about leveraging AI to efficiently generate high‑quality legal work product.

Responsibilities

Review and mark up commercial contracts, including NDAs, MSAs, SOWs, POs, Sales/Distribution Agreements, SaaS Agreements and more.

Apply consistent legal judgment and client context (playbooks, past dealings, matter‑specific guidance, etc.) to AI‑assisted first drafts of contracts and mark‑ups, and identify gaps, risks, and negotiation opportunities.

Collaborate with founders on how to best integrate AI into attorney workflow.

Design AI‑first workflows to streamline attorney processes.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience drafting and marking up broad range commercial contracts.

Specific, hands‑on experience with a wide range of MSAs across markets and industries.

Detail‑oriented; can maintain intense focus over sustained review sessions.

Strong written judgment and comfort working in a technology‑forward legal environment.

Admitted to the Bar to at least one U.S. state.

Eligible to work in the U.S.

Technical or engineering degree/experience.
