Job Details Our prestigious law firm is actively seeking an experienced and dynamic Appellate Attorney to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to engage in complex appellate matters, work on significant legal issues, and contribute to our firm's reputation as a leader in the industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for researching and drafting appellate briefs, presenting oral arguments, and advising trial attorneys on legal strategy.
Responsibilities
Conduct extensive legal research and analysis on complex appellate issues.
Draft, edit, and finalize persuasive appellate briefs, motions, and other legal documents.
Present oral arguments before appellate courts.
Advise trial attorneys on legal strategy, including identification and preservation of issues for appeal.
Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to ensure the best representation for our clients.
Keep informed of developments in the law and disseminate information to colleagues.
Maintain the highest standards of professional conduct and ethics.
Qualifications
Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
Member in good standing in the State Bar of Texas.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in appellate practice, preferably in a law firm setting.
Demonstrated experience in legal research and writing, with a strong ability to analyze and apply legal principles, facts, and precedents to legal problems.
Experience presenting oral arguments before appellate courts.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team‑oriented environment.
High degree of professionalism and commitment to client service.
Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and meet strict deadlines.
Proficiency in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
