Paramount’s Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) is a state-of-the-art facility at the Paramount Studio in Hollywood, California. Established in 2015, it handles security and emergency situations for employees, productions, and guests worldwide. The GSOC operates 24/7/365 and is staffed by Operators and Analysts. The GSOC Analyst assists the Senior Analyst with the administration of multiple security systems, monitors Paramount operations for threats and risks, responds to incidents using established workflows, and serves as a subject matter expert during emergencies. This role also involves collecting and analyzing intelligence and preparing briefings. NOTE: This role is scheduled Saturday through Wednesday, 2:00 PM–10:30 PM.
Responsibilities
Develop incident response workflows and business rules within the Physical Security Information Management (PSIM) platform
Act as subject matter expert during emergencies to ensure effective GSOC support
Maintain operational risk monitoring tools to track threats and support Business Resiliency efforts
Respond to global incident alerts, assess conditions, activate emergency procedures, and maintain situational status
Support GSOC Operators with dispatching functions as needed
Collect and prepare intelligence briefings (daily briefs, travel briefs, white papers on emerging threats)
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Political Science, Emergency Management, or related discipline preferred
3+ years of experience with security systems
Experience writing technical policies, procedures, and reports
At least one year of experience in a customer service call center or security operations center
Familiarity with technology-based security systems
Ability to remain calm during emergencies, communicate clearly via phone, radio, and dispatch systems, use Microsoft Office and related software, prepare accurate incident reports and logs, follow written policies and oral instructions, type at least 40 WPM
Must be willing to work any 8-hour shift, including holidays, weekends, and overtime
Additional Qualifications
Broad knowledge of Security Operations Center policies and procedures
Proficient analytical and decision‑making skills under pressure
Exemplary proofreading, editing, and attention to detail
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
High‑level organizational and planning skills; ability to set priorities and work autonomously
Creative, strategic thinker committed to quality service
Exemplary oral and written communication skills
Additional Information Hiring Salary Range: $65,000.00 – $80,000.00. The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job‑related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
