Responsibilities

Prepare written credit memorandums on all new loans, renewals, extensions, and modifications relative to financial strengths and weaknesses of borrowers, risk assessments, industry analysis, collateral, and loan structures with opinions as to creditworthiness.

Gather information on actual and prospective borrowers through inquiries and investigations with associations, financial institutions, professional firms or individuals, and in‑house information on borrowers relative to loan amount activity, profitability, and affiliate relationships.

Assist in portfolio management activities such as completing Annual Financial Updates and Loan Management Reports on existing borrowers.

Spread financial statements using computerized financial software and analyze reports produced by the system for preparation of written reviews.

Accompany account officers on calls to develop more information on the companies being analyzed and better assess the risks associated with the credit.

Monitor loan compliance on existing customer accounts.

Regularly track the stages of active and pending loans.

Analyze loans highlighting any problems or questions and write the final credit analysis.

Requirements

Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with at least 2 years of related financial analysis experience.

Desirable: Experience in condominium and homeowner association industry.

Knowledge of banking products, services, policies, procedures, and regulations (AML/BSA/etc.) to ensure compliance.

Fluent in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel analysis.

Knowledge of commercial and consumer credit regulations, loan analysis, restructuring, documentation, collections techniques, and financing analysis.

Thorough knowledge of accounting and legal principles underlying bank documents.
