We are seeking an

Accounts Payable Clerk

to join a growing freight forwarding and logistics company with its corporate office located in Carrollton, Texas (20 Minutes northeast of

Downtown Dallas ). This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with solid AP experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

About the Company Our client provides a full range of global freight forwarding and logistics services, including air, sea, and road freight, customs clearance, warehousing and distribution, and project logistics. They are dedicated to accuracy, compliance, and exceptional customer service.

Role Overview The Accounts Payable Clerk will handle invoice processing, vendor management, and reconciliation, ensuring timely and accurate payments. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who can work independently and manage multiple priorities with precision.

Key Responsibilities

Review all invoices and check requests for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment.

Process high-volume, three-way matching of purchase orders, invoices, and receiving reports.

Prioritize invoices based on cash discounts and payment terms.

Respond promptly to vendor inquiries and resolve discrepancies.

Reconcile vendor statements and research variances or payment issues.

Maintain accurate files and documentation in compliance with company policies and accepted accounting practices.

Sort and distribute incoming mail and route invoice exceptions for approval.

Participate in daily peer review of invoice entries to confirm accuracy.

Assist with month-end close processes.

Support the accounting team with special projects as needed.

Qualifications

2+ years of experience in Accounts Payable or general business bookkeeping.

Experience with CargoWise or other freight/logistics software is a strong plus.

Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve mismatched POs.

Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Able to work independently and within a team in a high-volume environment.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel) and general computer applications.

Demonstrated accuracy in data entry with a high level of attention to detail.

Proven ability to follow instructions, manage priorities, and meet established deadlines.

Compensation and Benefits Competitive salary:

$50,000–$60,000

(based on experience)
