Position Purpose The Analyst, Business Analytics will provide support for several departments toward achieving their objectives of profit improvement and enhancing customer relationships.

This partner will investigate root causes and recommend solutions by creating complex analytical models utilizing business intelligence software, flowcharts, spreadsheets, databases, and other decision support tools. The Analyst will compile and implement improvements to periodic reports, enhance and maintain business intelligence dashboards, and support ad-hoc data requests.

This role will partner closely with SMEs to develop functional specifications for decision support tools and to effectively identify and document business requirements. This role will partner with Data Engineering to ensure data accuracy and system integration of these business requirements.

Essential Job Functions

Identify problems, perform analysis to identify root causes, gather information, recommend a course of action, manage implementation, and document results

Manage multiple business analysis and/or analytics projects in support of several departments, identify dependencies and milestones, and promote communication within established timeframes

Utilize business intelligence and reporting software, database tools, Microsoft Excel, and Office automation to design, build, assess, maintain, improve, and distribute dashboards and reports, combine data, and present accurate information

Collaborate with data engineers and IT teams to ensure data accuracy and system integration

Develop flowcharts to identify failure points and optimize processes

Interact professionally and effectively through verbal and written communication with all professional contacts with emphasis on company interests

Develop professional presentations for department and executive leadership

Other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibility This is an individual contributor role

Work Environment The majority of work is performed while seated indoors at a computer, but occasional minor travel may be required ( Education The minimum education required for this position is Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Business Analysis and Management or other related field, or the equivalent of 3 years experience in financial, operations, or business analysis.

Work Experience

Three to five years of experience in advanced analytics, preferably in a retail organization

Three to five years of experience with business intelligence and reporting software like Google Looker and MicroStrategy

Three to five years of experience with Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office programs

Some prior experience with relational databases like Microsoft SQL Server

Experience with MicroStrategy is a strong plus
