Description The Night Auditor is responsible for conducting all nightly audit‑related duties while providing guest service at the hotel's front desk. Duties include balancing accounts, completing daily paperwork and shift reports, and attending to guest needs such as check‑in/check‑out, reservations, and inquiries.
Responsibilities
Proactive thinking, keeping guest security in mind, and creating a safe, clean, and friendly work environment.
Counting cash and maintaining the accuracy of the issued cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift.
Checking the front desk log for problems, special requests, etc.
Greeting, registering, and assigning rooms to guests.
Processing guest registrations, including collecting payment.
Preparing express checkout folios.
Maintaining room status inventory.
Communicating all pertinent shift information to the Front Office Manager, General Manager, and other desk staff.
Maintaining and cleaning the lobby and bathroom as needed.
Communicating all information to the following shift to ensure a smooth transition.
Working closely with all hotel departments to ensure the highest quality of customer service.
Answering inquiries pertaining to hotel services; registration of guests; and shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions. Explaining in‑room and hotel features.
Completing all required shift paperwork and night audit reports daily.
Performing other duties as assigned by management.
