REPORTS TO: GENERAL MANAGER
STATUS: PART-TIME (NON-EXEMPT)

POSITION SUMMARY: The Operations Team Member will be responsible for a variety of duties dependent upon the need for the day, while providing participants, members and/or guests an excellent experience in every aspect.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
Maintain and control trash in all areas of the park and buildings
Dispatch all guests properly through slide attractions in a safe and orderly manner while enforcing safety rules and regulations.
Assist in organizing and overseeing poolside events or activities as needed.
Provide assistance and guidance to guests regarding water slide usage and safety protocols.
Responsible for routine litter control around the pool deck area, restroom cleaning and maintenance, and keeping the general public areas of the Aquatic Centers in a clean and presentable condition at all times.
Consistently communicate issues and relevant updates to your supervisor and applicable team members
Assist with the coordination of all programming and applicable events
Assist other departments as necessary
Greet guests and provide answers and directions as needed
Provide courteous and friendly service to all guests and staff
Respond to all incidents, accidents, injuries, and altercations. Complete and file corresponding paperwork as necessary
Know and enforce the facility's policies, procedures, and rules
Complete special projects, daily assignments and other duties as directed by management
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE HAS:
2-4 years of experience in the sports/recreation field
Strong eye for detail and safety compliance
Experience operating an electric scoreboard
Experience in coaching or mentoring athletes or children
Proven success in being a quality team member
Experience and success in customer service, leadership, and organization
Action-oriented personality with a 'get it done' attitude and proficiency for efficiency
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Water Slide Dispatch Operator and Community CPR & AED certification required. Training will be provided.
Flexible work schedule (e.g., nights, weekends, holidays, and long hours) and regular attendance necessary
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Must have excellent guest service skills
Ability to multi-task and prioritize
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to lift 40 pounds waist high
May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time, whether indoors or outdoors, and squat, stoop, or bend into awkward positions while performing job functions
Facilities have intermittent noise
Will be required to operate a computer
Must be able to walk intermittently
