We are looking for an empowering leader with strong industry knowledge and at least five years of lending experience to join our team as Loan Operations Manager.

Your Mission In this role, your mission is to maintain a functional, efficient, and compliant loan operations framework that supports the bank’s objectives. You will manage our loan processing environment and systems, ensuring that documents are accurate and processes adhere to lending regulations.

The Day to Day Each day you will be deeply involved in the bank’s lending operations. You will oversee daily workflows, provide mentorship and ensure the team has the tools needed to succeed. You will manage vendor relationships, review system updates, and conduct audits to ensure data integrity. Whether you are acting as a liaison for internal auditors or improving a process for better efficiency, your focus remains on keeping the loan operations engine running smoothly and compliantly.

What you bring to High Plains Bank Qualifications and Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent.

At least five years of experience in lending operations.

Experience in leadership and team development.

Experience in managing regulatory compliance and audit processes.

Essential Skills and Knowledge

Knowledge of lending regulations and a solid understanding of the loan operations framework.

Leadership style focused on mentoring and developing staff.

Effective communication skills for collaborating internally and externally.

Adaptability in a fast‑paced banking environment.

Self‑directed problem‑solver with a proven ability to navigate ambiguity and resolve issues.

Desirable Skills and Knowledge

Proficiency with industry technology and systems such as Jack Henry/Silverlake, LaserPro, Encompass, and EOscar.

Knowledge in credit reporting and compliance submissions (HMDA, CRA, 1071).

Experience in handling adverse action files.

Responsibilities

Lead, mentor and develop a team for document preparation and loan servicing while fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Establish and maintain a robust, efficient, and compliant loan operations framework.

Ensure accurate and timely loan documentation processing, and strict adherence to lending regulations.

Effectively manage loan files, streamlining processes.

Implement supporting technology for loan operations.

Create and deliver training to loan operations staff.

Continuously improve efficiency and accuracy through process enhancements and staff education.

Effectively manage vendor relationships for loan operations.

Conduct regular audits and quality control checks of loan documentation and procedures to ensure data integrity and compliance with internal policies and regulatory guidelines.

Act as a primary liaison to internal auditors, compliance officers, and external legal teams regarding audit, policy, and compliance issues.

Facilitate collaboration between internal teams toward common objectives.

Maintain the integrity of the bank's loan portfolio data and risk assessments to provide leadership with an accurate view of portfolio performance and asset quality.

Handle partner loan reporting and year‑end requirements.

Other Responsibilities

Managing weekly EOscar credit disputes and monthly credit reporting submissions.

Handling compliance submissions for HMDA, CRA, and 1071.

Maintaining core platform parameters and keeping work aids and process documentation current.

Overseeing vendor invoice management, including Core Logic, appraisal evaluations, and coupon books.

Managing insurance claims and flood insurance requirements.

Providing backup support for loan operations roles and collaborating with Account Operations on overlapping tasks.

Target Compensation

$75,000.00 – $115,000.00 per based on experience and qualifications – other factors may be considered.
