Job Summary Full‑time administrative support position. Under direction of the Assistant Superintendent of Business/CSBO, performs a variety of routine‑to‑moderately complex bookkeeping and/or clerical work to help ensure the efficient and effective operations of the district’s schools and instructional programs. Performs some specialized duties as outlined and at the request of the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent of Business, as needed.
Qualifications
High School Diploma
School District accounting/bookkeeping experience preferred. Knowledge of IL Program Accounting Manual preferred.
Knowledge of I‑Visions, Power School, Frontline, Rev Trak, and IWAS preferred.
Proficient in computer skills, including MS Office, Web Calendar and Internet.
Broad knowledge of office and administrative procedures and functions. Must be detail oriented and deadline driven with strong organizational, written and oral communication skills.
Must be able to manage multiple tasks, work independently and as part of a team, and have excellent analytical ability to proactively work out problems and implement solutions.
Must maintain a high level of professionalism, integrity, trust and confidence.
Other alternatives to the above qualifications may be deemed acceptable by the Board.
Job Function Serves as the internal and external point‑of‑contact for administration, staff, booster organizations, students, parents/guardians, and community members related to the district’s financial operations and financial reporting.
Performance Responsibilities Communication / Customer Services
Acts as liaison for the Assistant Superintendent of Business and the staff by conveying information concerning rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and laws.
Addresses standard inquiries by letter, phone, e-mail, fax or personal contact; maintains internal communication system ensuring instructional and support personnel are kept informed of needed information.
Coordinates the transfer of information between schools/programs and outside agencies and districts; communicates as necessary with District Administration; maintains confidentiality of records.
Recordkeeping / Database Management
Responsible for maintaining all district financial records and state record‑keeping systems; maintains a detailed financial database.
Develops and tracks records and reports related to the district’s finances.
Uses both computer and manual filing systems to allow for efficient collection, retention, and retrieval of information.
Creates and maintains records for teacher and school budgets, student activity accounts, online purchases, quarterly expenditure reports for state and federal grants and other related records as needed.
Support
Assists the Assistant Superintendent of Business/CSBO with reconciling bank statements and conducting inter‑fund transfers as directed.
Assists the Assistant Superintendent with the execution of the district’s investment and cash management program.
Assists the Assistant Superintendent with the development and completion of related treasurer’s report forms, schedules, spreadsheets and files.
Prepares monthly financial reports for the Board of Education.
Assists the Assistant Superintendent of Business/CSBO with the preparation of the Annual Budget.
Other duties as assigned by the Assistant Superintendent of Business.
Working Conditions
12‑month position, 7‑hour day.

Salary Range $60,000.00 – $80,000.00 (dependent upon experience)
