JOB SUMMARY The Landscape Inspector of the National Division supports the organization’s operational quality and client service objectives by conducting consistent, objective, and documented inspections across national account properties. Reporting to the Area Manager National, this role evaluates landscape maintenance quality, verifies contract compliance, identifies safety concerns, and documents deficiencies. The Landscape Inspector partners with Operations Account Management and Branch Leadership to support corrective actions, continuous improvement, and service standardization across multiple regions.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education
High school diploma required.
Associate’s degree or coursework in horticulture, landscape management, agriculture, or a related field preferred.
Experience
35 years of experience in landscape maintenance inspections, quality control, or field operations.
Experience supporting multi‑site or national commercial accounts preferred.
Experience working independently across multiple locations.
License or Certification
Valid driver’s license required.
Landscape Industry Certified ISA or equivalent preferred.
Specialized Skills
Strong knowledge of turf, horticulture, irrigation, pruning, and landscape best practices.
Ability to interpret landscape contracts, scopes of work, and service specifications.
Strong written documentation and reporting skills.
Proficiency with mobile inspection tools, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
Strong attention to detail and objective assessment skills.
Ability to use mobile applications.
Physical Requirements
Frequently required to walk large commercial properties for extended periods.
Ability to bend, kneel, climb, and inspect landscape elements.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Occasionally required to lift up to 25 pounds.
Work Conditions
Primarily field‑based across multiple commercial properties.
Frequent regional or national travel including overnight stays.
Administrative and reporting work completed remotely or from branch offices.
Regular interaction with Operations Account Management and Branch Leadership teams.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Conduct scheduled and unscheduled landscape inspections across national account properties.
Evaluate turf health, horticultural quality, pruning practices, irrigation performance, hardscape conditions, and overall site appearance.
Assess safety conditions, equipment usage, and adherence to OSHA and company safety standards.
Identify deficiencies and assign corrective actions with defined timelines.
Complete detailed inspection reports including photographs, scoring metrics, and observations.
Track trends, recurring issues, and regional performance gaps.
Maintain inspection records within company and client systems.
Provide summary reports to National Operations and Leadership.
Verify services align with contract scope, frequency, and specifications.
Participate in client walkthroughs, audits, and performance reviews as required. Partner with Branch Leadership and Area Managers.
Identify training and coaching opportunities.
Support onboarding of new national account sites.
Communicate operational risks and service barriers to leadership.
