Job Description We are seeking a skilled MEP Estimator with a focus on mechanical process piping, cost consultancy, and quantity surveying. The ideal candidate will use Excel for pricing and takeoffs, typically done in BlueBeam or 3D modeling, and possess strong leadership abilities to mentor and lead a team of 6‑8 estimators. This client‑facing role requires effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Develop budget estimates by performing accurate quantity takeoffs using plans and specifications or conceptual information.

Review, interpret, and accurately estimate the scope of assigned work as described in the project documents.

Apply unit costs and productivity rates as provided by the supervisor.

Solicit and collect subcontractor and vendor bids or quotations.

Develop and nurture subcontractor/vendor and client relationships.

Prepare subcontractor analysis sheets for assigned scopes of work.

Evaluate changes and subcontractor change order estimates.

Provide expertise in all phases of construction work.

Perform other duties reasonably associated with the above essential functions and additional duties assigned by the supervisor.

Essential Skills

Estimator experience in MEP and construction fields, particularly in semiconductor construction.

5+ years of experience in hi‑tech construction estimating.

Strong Excel skills with experience in fast‑paced, high‑volume commercial construction.

Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively.

Intermediate knowledge of Windows, Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Outlook.

Advanced skill level with Excel.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Within semiconductor preferred.

Knowledge of On Screen Takeoff estimating software is a plus.

Success Estimating Software knowledge is a plus.

Work Environment This position is located on‑site in Chandler, AZ, supporting semiconductor construction. The team of 7‑10 members promotes a local feel while benefiting from the resources of a larger company. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chandler, AZ. The role is fully onsite.

Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $48.07 - $72.11/hr.
