Position Summary The Field Human Resources Manager is a key member of the Operations and HR team, leading HR initiatives, protocols, and policies within a defined operational territory. A primary focus is to positively impact all aspects of the talent management system across all locations within the territory. Working closely with the Area HR Manager and Operations, the manager will ensure HR practices are compliant, consistently apply enterprise-wide programs, and coach managers to execute policies fairly. The role requires strong communication, self‑drive, an embrace of change, and the ability to work in a matrixed reporting structure.

Major Responsibilities

Associate Experience, Engagement, and Retention:

Lead local associate experience and retention efforts through enterprise programs such as new associate orientation, onboarding, global engagement surveys, and recognition events.

Identify and design solutions to address local retention challenges.

Support D&I efforts and encourage managers to foster an inclusive work environment.

Workforce Planning and Talent Acquisition:

Support recruiting team in resolving issues around requisition accuracy, approval chains, and manager responsiveness.

Partner with recruiting to advise on local diverse recruiting sources.

Propose appropriate staffing levels based on growth trends.

Collaborate on leadership recruiting needs and participate in the selection process for critical roles.

Assist in transition through orientation and onboarding activities.

Collaborate with Compensation to arrive at appropriate compensation packages.

Associate and Leader Skill Development:

Maintain oversight of associate performance and ensure development plans are in place.

Support new leaders through HR processes needed to manage and lead people.

Oversee annual talent review and succession planning and leverage Leadership Development tools.

Training and Development:

Communicate and reinforce management training and development topics including performance management, safety, harassment, equal opportunity, wage and hour laws, diversity and inclusion, and leadership.

Associate & Labor Relations and Performance Management:

Partner with Area HR Manager and others to conduct regular location assessments and coach management on policy interpretation.

Investigate associate complaints and work with legal, labor, and security to resolve.

Engage management team in performance management using training tools and corrective counseling.

Human Capital Analytics:

Provide operations leaders with relevant HR metrics and analytics for business decisions at the local level.

Compliance:

Analyze associate data for compensation parity, FLSA compliance, and consistent practices.

Facilitate resolution of payroll issues in a timely manner.

Travel:

Travel by car and air for up to 50% overnight travel required supporting up to 350 associates in 5 locations.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required.

3+ years’ experience in staffing, HR, or related field required; relevant experience will be considered.

Bilingual in Spanish required (oral and written).

Professional certification in SHRM or HRCI preferred.

Strong knowledge of HR functions and employment law.

Ability to work well independently with minimal supervision; strong sense of urgency.

Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills.

Adaptable quick learner able to pick up company systems and processes quickly.

Travel 50% overnight and required travel schedule.

Regular, predictable full attendance essential.

Must complete employment application, background investigation, and drug screening.

Physical Requirements

Read, communicate verbally and/or in written form; remember and understand instructions.

Stand, walk, sit; use hands, reach, lift up to 25 lbs.
