The 2027 Investment Banking Summer Analyst Program is a 9‑week internship based in our Chicago and Cleveland offices. BGL Summer Analysts will learn directly from junior and senior bankers about company analysis, research, financial modeling, and pitch deck creation. The program offers interns the opportunity for personal and professional growth, requiring good interpersonal skills, exceptional organization, and sincere pride in their work.
Responsibilities
Conduct research on public and private companies across various industries
Assist in performing detailed due diligence
Receive an introduction to financial modeling as well as valuation
Contribute to the creation of pitch books for presentations
Interpret research and modeling results
Draw financial conclusions and report findings to the transaction team
Qualifications
On track to graduate in Winter 2027 or Spring/Summer 2028
Outstanding academic record with strong cumulative GPA
pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Data Analytics, Economics, Finance, or other relevant field
Solid understanding of financial markets, investment principles, and basic accounting concepts
Involvement on campus including investment banking related clubs, organizations, case competitions, leadership roles, etc.
Previous internship experience within financial services preferred
Results‑driven team player and cultural fit
Highly driven and motivated individual
Demonstrated commitment and superior work ethic
Excellent quantitative and problem‑solving skills
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Full‑time Salary Range The salary range for this role is equal to $110,000 on an annual basis. Actual salary at the time of hire may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant qualifications, skills, and experience and the location where this position may be filled.
