About the Role We are seeking a Senior Cost Accountant to play a critical role in establishing and managing our new financial cost accounting system for our plant in Costa Rica. This position will be based in Garland, TX, and will support global operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and eager to take ownership of building processes from the ground up.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

5+ years of experience in cost accounting or manufacturing accounting

Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles, inventory valuation, and standard costing

Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills

Preferred Qualifications

CPA or CMA certification

Experience in medical device or manufacturing industries

Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively across teams and international locations

Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain cost accounting systems and processes for the Costa Rica plant

Analyze manufacturing costs, prepare cost reports, and ensure accuracy of inventory valuation

Partner with operations and finance teams to establish standard costs and monitor variances

Provide detailed analysis to support pricing, budgeting, and forecasting decisions

Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal financial controls

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual cost accounting reports for management review

Support audits and provide documentation as required

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve efficiency and transparency in cost reporting
